Frequently Asked Questions About Window Tinting in Prescott Valley, AZ
There are many benefits to having your vehicle’s windows tinted such as UV ray protection, heat rejection, eye comfort, aesthetics, privacy, interior protection and energy savings.
It is the amount of light allowed through the tint. The lower the percentage, the darker your tint will be.
Example: a 5% tint (limo tint) blocks 95% of visible light, 20% tint blocks 80% visible light, while 35% tint blocks 65% visible light.
It will depend on your vehicle type but in most cases a complete car can take anywhere from three to four hours. If your vehicle has old tint that needs to be removed, the process will take longer. If that is the case we recommend to leave your vehicle in the morning and we will call you when the tint installation is complete.
This is due to the moisture that remains between the film and glass after the installation. It takes a few days for the tint to completely cure. When the moisture completely evaporates, your tint should have great clarity.
We recommend that you leave your windows up for 48 hours (2 Days) after the window tint installation. This allows the film to cure and adhere to the glass.
We recommend that you wait a week before cleaning them. After a week, use ammonia-free window cleaner and a soft cloth. Most foam cleaners are ammonia-free, and leave no streaks. Do NOT scrape the tint with any type of sharp object or clean with anything abrasive because it will damage the tint.
