- R1S
- The three-row SUV. On 2025 and newer, the glass roof is either a fixed tint or the Dynamic Glass Roof, which tints itself at the touch of a button.
- R1T
- The pickup, with the same roof choices as the R1S on 2025 and newer.
- R2
- The smaller SUV, delivered since June 2026: a fixed-tint panoramic glass roof, and on Performance and Premium a rear window that drops into the liftgate.

Four things about a Rivian that change how we choose and fit film.
- The roofRivian’s glass roofs block more than 99.9% of UV. What film adds is protection from infrared heat. Rivian gives no guidance on film over the Dynamic Glass Roof, so we’ll look at yours first.
- Range on hot daysClimate Hold, Pet Comfort and preconditioning all use battery energy while you’re parked. A cooler cabin asks less of them.
- Your phone is the keyRivian’s Digital Key uses ultra-wideband and NFC on 2025 and newer; earlier R1s use Bluetooth. LLumar states that Pinnacle and Stratos cause no signal interference.
- The windshield cameraA camera sits behind the rear-view mirror, and Rivian asks that the windshield around it stay clear. We keep film out of that area.

How much heat each film keeps out.
Every film we install blocks more than 99% of UV. The difference is infrared heat, the heat you feel through the glass.

Clear film · AIR 80
Every film blocks more than 99% of UV. IR heat rejected is LLumar’s selective IR rejection (SIRR): the share of solar infrared (780–2500 nm) that isn’t directly transmitted through the glass; each film shows its best figure among the shades we carry. LLumar states that Pinnacle and Stratos cause no signal interference, and makes no claim either way for the others. Descriptions follow LLumar’s own wording. Paint protection
Built for gravel. Protected for it.
Self-healing LLumar film where gravel hits: the bumper and hood, the fenders and rocker panels, the mirrors and headlights.
- Rivian suggests film or tape around the front tow hooks, to limit scratches when recovery gear is attached.
- Rivian’s guides ask that its cameras, radar and sensors stay clear of film, and say to use only Rivian-supplied paint protection film, so we’ll talk that through with you and trim film well clear of them.

- Pricing
- Book online or send a quote request, and we confirm the price for your Rivian before any work starts.
- Warranty
- Rivian sells XPEL film through its own program, and its owner’s guides say to use only Rivian-supplied paint protection film. Rivian says nothing either way about other brands of window film. FormulaOne films are backed by LLumar’s manufacturer’s warranty; ask us about the terms for your film.
- Arizona law
- Front side windows must let in at least 33% of light, so the darkest we carry for them are Classic in 35%, or Pinnacle and Stratos in 50%. The rear sides and back glass can be any shade. Read the full summary
- After the install
- Keep the windows up for 48 hours while the film cures, and wait a week before cleaning them. After that, use an ammonia-free cleaner, which is also what Rivian recommends for its interior glass.
